Gold Haralds Wood Sculpture
Gold Harald wooden sculpture stands at the roundabout in Hals, in the northwest part of the town.
The sculpture was done in February 2007 by sculptor Allan Bo Jensen, Fyn, and paid for by the municipality of Hals Arts Foundation.
The woodsculpture was build in the memory of a mudererous fact of Danish histroy, occurred in a forest between Hals and Hou in the year 958. Descendants of Gorm the Old struggled for the power in the North. The history ended, when Hakon Jarl hung Gold Harld in a tree. Gold Harld was buried in a high Gold Harold Hill, located to the north of Hals.
The sculpture looks in that direction.
